Google is democratizing music production with its latest AI experiment. The company has integrated ProducerAI into Google Labs, creating a unified tool for generating sound, visuals, and video.
Powered by the new Lyria 3 music model, ProducerAI lets users describe their musical ideas, and the AI assists in building beats, melodies, and novel sounds. Initially launched in 2025, the platform now leverages Google's broader AI suite within Labs.
Inside the studio, Lyria 3 handles music, Gemini guides the creative process, Nano Banana generates album art, and Veo creates music videos. Google will also embed SynthID watermarks for transparency, as distinguishing AI-made music becomes harder.
Developed with input from artists like The Chainsmokers, ProducerAI is positioned as an experimental creative tool, not a musician replacement. Its launch coincides with AI-generated songs gaining chart success and industry scrutiny.
