High-Performance Computing in a Compact Design

Zotac has officially introduced the Magnus One Ultra EU275080C, a remarkably small desktop computer that manages to house enthusiast-grade hardware within an 11.46-liter chassis. Measuring just 126 x 365.5 x 249 mm and weighing approximately 6.34 kg, the system is designed for users who need significant power without the footprint of a traditional tower.

At the heart of the system is Intel's Core Ultra 7 265 processor. This 20-core chip operates at a base clock of 2.4 GHz and reaches boost speeds of up to 5.3 GHz, making it an ideal companion for the machine's primary graphical component.

NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture and Gaming Prowess

The standout feature of this compact PC is the inclusion of a full desktop-class NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080. Unlike mobile variants found in many compact systems, this card is built on the Blackwell architecture and comes equipped with 16GB of GDDR7 memory. According to data reported by PC Watch, the GPU delivers:

  • 10,752 CUDA cores
  • 336 Tensor cores
  • 84 RT cores
  • A 256-bit memory bus providing 960GB/s of bandwidth

NVIDIA rates this GPU at 1,801 AI TOPS, positioning it as a significant leap in performance—approximately 33% faster than the previous-generation RTX 4080 in gaming scenarios. The system supports advanced technologies including DLSS 4.5 with Multi-Frame Generation, ray tracing, and intensive local AI workloads.

Connectivity and Expandability

Despite its small size, the Magnus One Ultra offers extensive I/O options. Power is delivered by an 850W supply, ensuring stable operation for the GPU, which carries a 360W power rating. For memory and storage, the system includes two slots for DDR5 RAM (up to 96GB capacity) and two M.2 slots (supporting PCIe 5.0 x4 and PCIe 4.0 x4).

Display connectivity is equally robust, featuring:

  • Three DisplayPort 2.1b connectors
  • One HDMI 2.1b port
  • One HDMI 2.0 port
  • One Thunderbolt 4 port (DisplayPort compatible)

These outputs allow for multi-monitor setups, including the ability to drive up to four simultaneous 4K displays directly from the dedicated graphics card. Networking is handled by dual Ethernet ports (5Gbps and 1Gbps), Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Pricing and Availability

Zotac has detailed multiple configurations for the Japanese market, with prices starting at approximately ¥418,000 (~$2,640) for a barebones model that excludes RAM, storage, and OS. Higher-end configurations, which include Windows 11 Pro, up to 96GB of RAM, and varying SSD capacities, range up to ¥750,200 (~$4,750).
