Functionality and Design

Unlike its predecessor, the stationary Isaac 0, the Isaac 1 is a mobile unit designed to navigate living spaces safely. Its physical architecture includes:

  • Adjustable Height: The robot features a collapsible torso, allowing it to transition from 3 inches to nearly 6 inches in height.
  • Advanced Mobility: Equipped with a large wheeled base, the machine is built to maneuver around furniture without collisions.
  • Humanoid Elements: It features a face with two integrated camera-based 'eyes' and functional arms with grippers.

According to the manufacturer, the device utilizes proprietary actuators and remote actuation systems. It operates via a dedicated mobile application, allowing users to control or schedule tasks whether they are at home or away.

Weave Robotics has prioritized user control and privacy in the development of the Isaac 1. The robot includes physical indicators to signal when the device is active. Regarding its power capabilities, the company states:

"The Isaac 1 has an eight hour battery life and takes around two hours to fully charge."
This efficiency allows for sustained household support throughout the day.


Pricing and Availability

While competitors like LG and SwitchBot have teased similar domestic robots, the Isaac 1 stands out as one of the first to reach the pre-order stage. Consumers interested in bringing this technology into their homes have two primary financial options:

  • Subscription model: A recurring payment plan of $449 per month.
