Meta Quest games utilizing hand tracking offer an immersive, sci-fi-like experience, but system controls like muting or recording can be restrictive without controllers. A hidden feature called 'Expanded Quick Actions' solves this by adding five quick-action buttons to your palm menu.

To enable it, open the Universal Menu via the home button or gesture, navigate to Quick Settings > Settings > Movement Tracking. Ensure hand tracking is on, then toggle 'Expanded Quick Actions'. This adds instant access to mute, record video, recenter view, switch to mixed reality, and go home.

The feature works on all Meta Quest headsets but excels on Quest 3 and 3S with full-color passthrough. You can also enable 'double tap controllers for hand tracking' for seamless switching between control methods. Hand tracking has evolved into a genuine controller replacement for many tasks, making VR interaction more intuitive.
