Innovative Magnetic Interface and Streamlined Workflow
One of the most distinct features of the C24 is its detachable magnetic screen. This design choice allows photographers to monitor their shots and navigate celestial data without physically touching the camera, preventing accidental vibrations during long exposures. Furthermore, the unit acts as a wireless remote, eliminating the need to tie up a smartphone with dedicated apps.
The developers emphasize that their system significantly reduces equipment complexity:
- Consolidates setup into four devices and two cables.
- Utilizes the Pulsar Tri-Axis Harmonic Equatorial Mount to counteract Earth's rotation.
- Features a counterweight battery and angle adjuster for stability.
- Includes built-in storage and internal HDR stacking to further minimize peripheral gadgetry.
Designed for Extreme Lighting Conditions
The origins of the C24 trace back to a 2015 prototype designed for the 2017 solar eclipse. According to the development team, the camera was built to survive «the worst lighting test you can give a camera». Its 24MP sensor boasts an impressive dynamic range, expanding from a standard 14 EV to an expansive 29 EV via in-camera HDR processing.
To ensure image clarity during long exposures, which can last up to ten minutes, the C24 features active sensor cooling. This is critical for preventing thermal noise, ensuring that deep-sky images remain sharp and clear.
Versatility and Mounting Options
The ArcBlue C24 utilizes an interchangeable faceplate system, allowing photographers to adapt the camera to a wide range of optics. Compatibility includes:
- Native support for Sony E, Canon EF, and Nikon Z lenses.
- Integration with M68 telescope threads.
- Support for third-party adapters for additional lens systems.
This flexibility allows users to configure the camera for everything from ultra-wide astrophotography landscapes to high-magnification shots of distant galaxies. While it functions as a comprehensive astrophotography suite, the system remains modular, allowing users to remove the equatorial mount for a lighter, more portable setup.

Following its initial reveal at the NAB Show in April 2026, anticipation for the C24 has grown. The company has recently indicated that a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter is expected to launch in the near future.
