EA's 'Skate.' Brings the X Games Experience to Players
Electronic Arts and developer Full Circle have announced an exciting collaboration between their title skate. and the X Games. Running from July 21 through August 25, the update will introduce an X Games-themed virtual stadium featuring challenges designed to replicate the atmosphere of a live event.

David Beckham Joins the Fortnite Icon Series
Starting July 17, soccer icon David Beckham is making his way into Fortnite. The launch will be celebrated with the David Beckham Icon Cup, where top performers can earn the complete David Beckham Bundle. The collection includes two distinct outfits—a tattoo-focused style and a club owner look—alongside specialized accessories like the Meteor Baller Pickaxe.
'Kill Block' and 'D-topia' Expand Genre Offerings
Fans of military shooters can look forward to Kill Block, the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 experience launching October 23. Set at the West Bridge Advanced Military Training Facility, the game features modular battlegrounds that reconfigure between matches, ensuring that players must constantly adapt their strategies. The game supports 3v3 and 10v10 modes with over 500 potential map configurations.
Meanwhile, Mariumittu Games and Annapurna Interactive have released D-topia, a narrative-driven sci-fi adventure. Players take on the role of a 'Facilitator' tasked with maintaining a facility in a post-AI utopian society. The game focuses on logic puzzles and branching narrative paths influenced by player choices.
Updates to The Sims 4 and Saber Interactive Leadership
The Sims 4 is set for a significant update on July 21, introducing long-awaited features such as:
- AutoSave functionality and manual save reminders.
- Memory Boost optimizations to improve frame rates and overall responsiveness.
- Targeted bug fixes to enhance stability.
In industry news, Saber Interactive has appointed Steve Allison as Chief Business Officer. Allison, formerly of Epic Games, brings over 30 years of experience to the role. ByteRockers’ Games has formed a partnership with Elysium Games to publish the cyberpunk thriller Neo Berlin 2087. Additionally, the company revealed Rosaby Roots, a plant shop simulator, and signed the atmospheric horror project Lavender Fields to its portfolio.
