Unlike the standard version where respawning forces a random hero change, Mystery Showdown retains the structured role queue (one tank, two DPS, and two supports). The core mechanic shift is how you swap characters: instead of dying to get a new hero, you switch immediately after securing an elimination or, in the case of supports, accumulating three assists. If you struggle to secure kills, the game eventually forces a character swap to keep things moving.
