The Pokémon Company has officially announced Generation 10, titled Pokémon Wind and Waves, set for release in 2027 on the Nintendo Switch 2.
The announcement showcased the tropical setting and revealed the three new starter Pokémon: the Water-type Gecqua, Fire-type Pombon, and Grass-type Browt. The game features vast oceans, jungles, and potential underwater exploration, marking a visual upgrade from recent titles.
New trainers were shown, along with two special Pikachu characters named Mr. Windychu and Ms. Wavychu, who will play a role in the story. The presentation also included news about Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness coming to Switch Online and the April release of Pokémon Champions.
