The Pokémon Company has officially unveiled the tenth generation of its flagship series, titled 'Pokémon Winds' and 'Pokémon Waves,' during a special 30th-anniversary presentation. The games are scheduled for release in 2027 on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The reveal showcased the three new starter Pokémon: the grass-type chick Browt, the fire-type Pomeranian-inspired Pombon, and the water-type gecko Gecqua. A teaser trailer presented a vast, detailed open world, featuring diverse environments like tropical forests, oceans with Wailord, grassy plains, and volcanic areas, suggesting a significant visual upgrade.

The trailer also hinted at new customization features, showing two costumed Pikachu. Additionally, the presentation confirmed that 'Pokémon FireRed' and 'LeafGreen' are coming to Nintendo Switch Online, alongside 'Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.' A new battling game, 'Pokémon Champions,' was announced for Switch and mobile devices.
