Wescott has launched the FJ250 250Ws Touchscreen strobe, a new mid-tier lighting solution designed for both on-location and studio work. The light is remarkably lightweight yet delivers an impressive 850 full-power flashes from a single charge, the best battery life in the FJ series.
Priced around $400, the FJ250 features a full-color OLED touchscreen for control and boasts industry-leading recycle times between 0.01 and 0.9 seconds. It includes high-speed sync and a Freeze Mode capable of handling bursts up to 50 fps. The strobe also offers Creative Masks, allowing photographers to pre-program up to six multi-light setups.
Weighing just 4.2 pounds, it uses a native Bowens mount for modifiers and includes a 12W bi-color modeling light. The battery pack is compatible with other FJ series lights. The FJ250 is available now as a single unit or in a two-light kit.
