Expanding into Garden Maintenance

Mova, a brand traditionally recognized for its robotic vacuum solutions, has officially entered the UK landscaping market. The company has unveiled a new series of robot lawn mowers specifically engineered to address the needs of homeowners with smaller outdoor areas. By prioritizing intelligent navigation and routine maintenance efficiency over sheer range, Mova aims to simplify yard work for its users.

The New Product Lineup

The collection consists of three distinct models, each calibrated for different garden sizes and technical requirements:

  • ViAX 300: Priced at £519, this model is built for gardens spanning up to 300m².
  • ViAX 500: Retailing for £699, it is designed to manage spaces up to 600m².
  • LiDAX Ultra 800: As the premium flagship priced at £799, it offers coverage for areas up to 800m².

These devices are currently available for purchase through Mova's official website and major retail partners, including AO, B&Q, and Currys.

Navigation and Technical Capabilities

The entry-level ViAX 300 utilizes the UltraEyes 1.0 navigation suite. This system enables virtual boundary mapping and consistent U-shaped mowing patterns, while also boasting the ability to tackle 40% slopes and traverse 60cm wide paths.

The ViAX 500 upgrades the experience with UltraEyes 2.0 technology. This iteration integrates 360° LiDAR and dual AI-powered cameras to enhance precision in complex garden environments. Additionally, it offers near-silent operation (below 57dB) and improved edge-cutting capabilities.

At the pinnacle of the series, the LiDAX Ultra 800 features the sophisticated UltraView 2.0 system. According to the manufacturer, this flagship model uses 3D LiDAR and AI vision to provide GPS-free navigation. Notable capabilities of the Ultra 800 include:

«The ability to identify over 300 distinct obstacle types, handle inclines of up to 45%, and provide advanced multi-zone management with anti-theft tracking.»
